The Barakaldo Adult Education Centre (CEPA) is located in the Alhóndiga Municipal buildings, one of the municipality's listed buildings.


It began its teaching activity in the academic year 1981/82 and since then, over seven thousand students have made use of its services.


In the academic year 91/92 it broadened its offer to include the district of Cruces, opening premises in the former La Siebe school. Today, this centre enrols over one hundred students per year in its evening/night classes.


In the academic year 98/99 Secondary Education was introduced in the centre with morning and evening/night class groups.
